Tony is such a lover, we think boxer/hound mix. He and his siblings were dumped in front of someone's house with their mother and unfortunately his mother and one sibling were hit by a car before the homeowner even knew about it and they didn't make it. He loves to play with his siblings and is constantly running around and playing chase or keep away. He does really love to snuggle too though. Like most puppies he is full of energy unless he is napping. He has puppy manners too so will need some training, while he has had some progress, he still needs work on house breaking, and basic commands. He is great with other dogs, but hasn't met a cat, and seems fine with kids. He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $600
Hi, my name is Mallory. I am about 2 yrs old, and a female terrier mix. At first I am pretty shy but once I settle in I am a very gentle, kind, and grateful young girl. So far I have been fine with cats and I'm great with kids but I am dog selective. I seem to do fine with little dogs and really big dogs (larger than me) but for some reason I don't like medium dogs so I need to be in a home as an only dog. I am crate trained, and honestly I really enjoy my crate, I keep it very neat and tidy. I don't like thunderstorms or fireworks, and because I was abandoned somewhere I really like knowing I have plenty of water and a safe place to hide from the elements if needed. Billy is a 5-7 yr old Lhasa Apso/Maltese mix. He was found as a stray and has a high drive to get out and walk the neighborhood. A secure fenced in yard and multiple walks a day are a requirement. He is good with cats and dogs but is independent. He loves people, especially children, and will make a good family pet. He walks well on a leash and is self sufficient, not needy at all. He will sleep on the floor, in a bed, whatever you prefer for him he is content with. He is fixed, up to date on vaccine, microchipped, and HW/Fecal negative. His adoption fee is $400
Lexie is a 5-8 year old golden retriever/shepherd mix who loves all the people. She is very loyal, smart, and affectionate. She would do best in a home with no other pets, as she wants to be the only dog. Lexi is great with children of all ages and loves to be pet and get attention from everyone she meets. She play fetch, sits, gives pay, and is easily trainable. She is housebroken, does well in the car and on a leash. She is very smart and is looking for her forever home. She is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Lexie is positive for heartworm, she still has a couple injections left. This is a longer term treatment and the adopter will need to commit to bringing her into Kendall County Animal Control on schedule for her injections. Her adoption fee is $400
Clyde came in with his friend Bonnie. These poor dogs were left in a public restroom tied up. Clyde had chewed through his leash but didn't leave Bonnie. That being said, now that they are safe and comfortable they really aren't that attached and would probably do better separated. Clyde does best with dogs his size or bigger and needs a slow introduction, he would be great all by himself, soaking up all the people attention. He loves to play, especially fetch and has tons of energy to burn off. He still needs some work on his manners but is doing much better on his chewing and seems to be housebroken and is working on his basic commands. He has not met a cat yet and is most likely too much for them. He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500
Jade is a 7yr old German Shephard female. She is fine with older kids but younger kids are too much for her. She also is okay with calmer dogs with a slow introduction but she would be great as an only dog as well. She has never met a cat so we are unsure how she would react to those. She is a sweet girl, potty trained, crate trained. She only chews on her bones like she is supposed to, doesn't really care for other toys. She knows some commands like come and is working on the rest. She is timid in new situations and will needs someone who can work with her to build confidence. She loves to cuddle once she warms up to you. She was abandoned by her owners multiple times and clearly just wants some love. She an jump a baby gate but hasn't jumped the fence, although a tall fence is probably best. She is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $500
Theo is about 7 years old, and he is a terrier mix that came up from Kentucky about 6 years ago. He was adopted into a home and then returned when he didn't like a new houseguest. He gets along great with other dogs and cats. He is quiet, housebroken, and very affectionate. He would love his very own person or family who he can cuddle with and take nice walks. He is just the sweetest boy. He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and chipped. (He was positive for Ehrlichia when he first came up here but was treated and is cleared but he might always test positive on a snap test.) His adoption fee is $400
Tickle (Dad, 8yr old male) and Scrappy (Son, 6yr old male) are a very bonded pair of chihuahuas. They would do best in a quiet home without children or energetic dogs. They are fine with other dogs as long as they are respectful and don't get into their face. They have never met a cat but would most likely be fine, they don't like to chase things. They are always together and don't like being separated at all. They use a potty pad in the house but will go potty outside, we are still working on fully housebreaking them. They are quiet, well mannered boys otherwise. They love to snuggle with their people are are definite laps dogs. They are both now fixed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm neg. Buck is a complete goof ball, he flops around with a huge smile on his face. He loves following around other dogs and would benefit from a friend to learn more commands from. He would spend all day chasing other dogs in the yard if he could. Buck is crate trained and mostly potty trained. He does not chew or tear apart toys. He does great with kids but is a puppy still (Turns 1 in Oct 2024), so he might be too much for little kids, and he doesn't understand how to be gentle with cats either and does try to play with them (which they usually don't like). Buck is still a bit skittish, but once he warms up he is a loving lap dog. He knows "inside" and "crate", but is still learning other basic commands. Buck overall is just a happy go lucky pup! Betsy is maybe around 8 yrs old, and a shih tzu, who would thrive in a home with other dogs her size and maybe older children. She has never met a cat so we are unsure how she would do with them and she is quite skittish around loud noises. Betsy enjoys being close to her humans and is often found sitting with them or at least near them. She has a noticeable scar down her back, they think it is due to a reaction to a previous flea and tick treatment that resulted in a chemical burn. Betsy LOVES car rides, and is crate trained and housebroken. She is fixed, up to date on vaccines, fecal and HWT neg, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400
Midnight is a young (turning 2 10/26) French Bulldog/English Bulldog mix. She is a little spitfire, full of energy and butt wiggles. She would do best with a person or family who can take her on nice long walks and help her burn off her energy. She loves all people and is very affectionate and loves to cuddle. She is most likely too much for younger kids but would be great with a family with older kids or not kids at all (then she could be spoiled like she expects). She hasn't met a cat but would most likely chase them, so no cats. And she doesn't care for other dogs either. She does do very well at home, she is housebroken and does not chew things up. She doesn't really do well in a crate (a previous owner kept her locked up all the time and now she refuses to go in). Luna is a very sweet, senior girl. She is very friendly and well mannered. She does well on walks but also LOVES just chilling on the couch with you. She is housebroken, crate trained, does great in the car as well, knows her commands, all around great dog. Remington is a very regal old man, although he would fool you with his energy. He loves to run and play and would do best in a home with another dog to play with. He has excellent manners though and knows his commands, and he will do anything for food. We don't know what he thinks of cats (might be too much for them) but he would be fine with a kid to play with. He is fixed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and hwt/fecal neg. Don't let the gray hair fool you, Jazzy is full of energy and loves to give hugs. She is very well mannered and loves to go for walks and play but also enjoys naptime in the afternoon. She is great with other dogs and she loves people so would most likely be fine with kid as well. She has never met a cat though so we don't know about those. She is housebroken, crate trained, knows her basic commands, and does great in the car and on the leash. She would love a nice place to retire in. Her adoption fee is $400
Hi, my name is Sully and I'm about 3-4 year old. I'm an Aussie mix who came in from Kendall County as a stray that was never claimed. I am the sweetest guy every, super curious and very friendly and outgoing. Gosh there are just so many good things to say about me. I do great with cats, I love kids and really love other dogs. Having a playmate is the best. But after I'm done herding the house I really enjoy snuggling up with you on the couch.
